 The New Moon in Taurus arrives on the 19. What new things do we still wish to cultivate? Where can we be more present? Where can we sink deeper into our environment, into our values?

This New Moon in Taurus is not an Eclipse. Let us breathe a collective sigh of relief. Go on, let that exhale linger. But we can reflect on all that we’ve been learning during the Taurus-Scorpio Eclipses. What new possiblities have been revealing themselves to you since last January? What new projects have you been called to start?

Setting intentions for the Taurus New Moon

Any regular New Moon is a wonderful opportunity to set intentions related to the energy of the sign its in. In Taurus, we can think about physical abundance, self-esteem, what you value in yourself, relaxation, checking in with yourself in terms of stubbornness, perserverence, and starting something that’s built to last, to name a few. Anything to do with nature — whether that’s physically planting seeds or renewing your relationships with Mother Earth — is also very timely.

Repair & Restore

I’m very intrigued by Jupiter’s alignment with Pluto during this New Moon. Jupiter just moved into Taurus, which has so much to do with growth in the physical world, and collective transformation will reveal itself over the next two decades of Pluto in Aquarius. Jupiter in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius has the power to heighten our ambition to achieve great things and assist us in gaining power. With these specific energies, I also like the idea of repairing or restoring (transformation aka Pluto) something physical (Taurus) in service of the collective (Aquarius). If there’s some sort of project related to gardening or farming, for example, rebuilding a crumbling community hub, or simply meeting the physical needs of those around you, this New Moon has the momentum to help you make lasting change.

Move forward with confidence

Thanks to Mars in Cancer in its last degree of 29, we might find ourselves a lot more confident and high energy than usual. The Sun and Moon in Taurus’ sextile to Mars in Cancer helps us get shit done with vitality, courage, and initiative, while expressing our feelings more openly.

With Jupiter In Taurus squaring Mars in Cancer, we again have a great potential to assert ourselves, we can accomplish things we’re normally afraid of, and things that feel like luck, but are actually just nicely-timed action come to pass. Here, it’s important to be mindful of arrogance or overexerting ourselves — Jupiter loves to grow but can also do the most.

The Sun in Taurus trine Pluto in Aquarius makes you feel more powerful, too, and make an impact on others. You might attract powerful or intense experiences to help you learn, or simply enjoy a day where you get things done.

Tapping into the needs of others & what truly matters

The Sun and Moon in Taurus are forming a beautiful, flowy sextile to Neptune in Pisces. You might find you’re more sensitive to other peoples’ moods, and can tap into their needs and energies. It’s a great time to put your ego aside and generously give back to others as well tune into your intuition — your psychic dial is turned up! Take a moment to ponder what is truly important to you as well.

The Moon in Taurus trine Pluto in Aquarius adds to this emotional sensitivity, and can also bring intensity. Don’t ignore your feelings, otherwise you could end up in an obsessive thinking spiral.

Venus in Cancer trine Saturn in Pisces creates a satisfaction with the stability of your relationships. This is a time where you can see the humanity in those you love and won’t make unreasonable demands on others. If there are any problems that need to be discussed, especially on the more emotional side, this is a great moment to air things out. Any relationships that start around this time are likely to be more stable and practical — whether that’s a friendship, romantic relationship, or even business partnership.
